January 2005   Happy New Year!!

Well, some one pushed the "fast forward" button on Clinique's pregnancy and she delivered her litter a full week early. Sad to report that we lost three of them.  It was just way to soon to come
out of the oven.
Ecstatic to claim that we managed to save two, both girls, after nursing them around the clock for six days!
Big thanks to all of you who have supported us with information and well wishes throughout this ordeal.
Life is so much better with great friends!

Sept. 2004   Puppy Breath!

Cally and Morgan would like to introduce their newest litter born September 20th.  Three girls and two boys are now joining the many wonderful puppies that these two have produced.   For additional information on these puppies please contact:  Karen McCarthy at Sow's Ear Farm

Just over a year old and Mill Mountain Masquerade (a Morgan daughter) received her certificate for hunting ground hog last weekend with Karen, Twila, Linda and Jose!

As you can see in the picture, on the cooler,  this was a huge one!  Congratulations to Karen McCarthy at Sow's Ear Farm who owns this great working bitch.

August 2004

We all went to the Tri State Classic I and II Open Terrier Trial and had a blast racing the puppies.  This was the first time Remi and Ridley had to wear their face muzzles and it didn't deter them one bit.  Remi went Reserve Puppy Racing Champion both days.

Not to let her brother out do her, Ridley won her 6-9 month over rough bitch conformation class and went Reserve Best Open Bitch Puppy!  I really don't
have to tell you how Sandi felt about that, this being her first Jack Russell and all....

Both pups graduated into the Puppy Championship class for G-T-G and they had so much fun competing

May 2004

Hi Bid was the second trial that Rowan, Ridley and Remi went to and Rowan won her class and then went on to get Reserve Best 4-6 month Puppy!

Sandi was happy when Ridley placed second right behind her sister in the same class.

Ridley and Remi are also turning on to racing and
G-T-G, winning ribbons in both divisions.

Morgan also had a good day when he went Reserve Best Open Dog.

Then on we all went to the Hunt Country Classic Open Trial in Virginia.  Rowan was second in the 4-6 month puppy class out of 24 participants, Remi did very well in racing and G-T-G. But, by far, the best thing to happen was in the two days after the trial when Remi showed me that he has his father's (Bear) hunting instinct and drive.  We were able to do some schooling with a couple of ground hogs that we got while hunting with the two English judges, and Remi did his job!  It meant so much to me to hear these working judges say that Remi had done so well, and him only five and a half months old!  On the down side of that though, is the fact that he may never run into the G-T-G hole fast again.  He now knows there could be quarry in there and only a fool would run in fast.  Here's hoping he can figure out that G-T-G at the trials is a big game!

In her first class ever, JacKat's Rowan won her 3-6 month conformation puppy class at Breezewood and then was Best 3-6 month puppy! JacKat's Ridley won 2nd place in the flats, and in the hurdles, out of a huge 3-6 month puppy racing class!

JacKat's Mystique was Reserve Over Puppy Racing Champion at the South Carolina Terrier Trial!  Mill Mountain Masquerade was Puppy Champion in conformation at Breezewood!
