Little did my husband and I know when we drove up to Sow's Ear Farm in Galway, New York, in February, with lake effect bands of snow all along the way, that we would embark on a roller coaster ride with "this little white dog" as everyone calls them!

Having lost one member of our family "Casper", a keen, wonderful dog to an untimely death from abdominal surgery, we were finally ready, after waiting two years, to get another dog.

Of course it had to be the "perfect" dog. No less would do! So we started looking at the breeders on the JRTCA site and found Sow’s Ear Farm and Karen McCarthy. Her Jack Russell Terriers just screamed, "Come and get me" so we did.
